Racing Foundation funded survey launched to enhance stud staff careers

A survey has been launched with the aim of enhancing stud staff careers. Funded by the Racing Foundation and administered by Public Perspectives, this survey is a collaborative effort supported by key industry partners including the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), Horseracing Industry People Board (HIPB), the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association (TBA), National Association of Racing Staff (NARS), and Racing Welfare. 

Running from March 2024 to mid April 2024, the survey is part of a wider programme of research conducted by the racing and thoroughbred breeding industries around recruitment, skills and retention and the associated support to help staff get the most out of their careers in the industry.

This is the first time staff working in the thoroughbred breeding industry have been surveyed as part of this research, which recognises the importance of giving staff working in the industry a voice.

Stable staff are invited to complete a survey via an online link. In appreciation for participants’ time and effort, two prize draw winners will be randomly selected, with a first prize of £300 and a second prize of £150.
