RoR has received a £321,000 grant from the Racing Foundation and the John Pearce Foundation for its project, ‘Improving the Framework to Support Horses’ First Step Out of Training’
British racing’s Horse Welfare Board, in partnership with the Racecourse Association (RCA), have led an investment in 10 life-size, fully articulating training mannequins to support the welfare of horses.
The 6-month census was launched last year by the Horse Welfare Board (HWB) and funded by the Racing Foundation as part of its 3-year, £3 million grant supporting 17 HWB projects.
National Racehorse Week is confirmed to run from the 7th to the 15th of September 2024. The Racing Foundation is supporting the event for a fourth year, funding the community engagement activities.
The grant will be used to deliver the horse welfare projects identified in the industry’s A Life Well-lived Strategy - a five-year plan to ensure the highest standards of welfare.
