The chairman of Racing with Pride David Letts has released his PhD research survey which examines the culture of British racing.
The study will form Letts’ PhD thesis at the University of Winchester which is funded by the Racing Foundation and supported by the sport’s Diversity in Racing Steering Group.
It is the first industry-wide examination of the subject – it aims to better understand the links between diversity, inclusion, and culture across the sport.
The industry-wide survey takes just 15 minutes to complete, is completely anonymous and is intended to explore how individuals experience the industry.
The aim of the study is to better understand the culture of the sport and how this, particularly masculinity, might play a role in the levels of diversity and inclusion for specific groups.
The hope is that increased understanding of the cultures within the sport will help to make more informed decisions regarding diversity and inclusion activity.
