Neil Hayward was appointed to set up and subsequently Chair the Industry People Board for Horseracing in December 2022. Neil’s national and international business career included Board and Executive Team leadership roles at High Speed Two (HS2) Ltd, Post Office Ltd, BT plc, Ministry of Justice, Standard Chartered Bank plc, Gallaher Group plc, Serco Group plc and Booker plc. His responsibilities included strategy and planning, business development and bid management, business transformation, commercial, project and programme management, corporate communications and corporate affairs, as well as human resources. Neil now works as a Portfolio Chair, Non-Executive, Board Advisor, Mentor and Investor. He is passionate about helping the businesses he works with succeed, creating wealth and jobs as they do so.
